Evening program of the sonic mandala
The innovative Sound & Light program of the Sonic Mandala inaugurates the public access to the Jantar Mantar on the evening. During the show, the public can stroll freely around the site.
Sound and musical fresco on the epic and cosmic mythology of the Bhagavad-Gîtâ.
The program starts with a short prelude, a tribute to Jai Singh, followed by a sound and music evocation of the the Hindu epic Bhagavad-Gîtâ. Some extracts of this narration relating fragments of the tale through a “sound fresco” will be included in the musical score in English and in Hindi.
the site’s floodlighting
Small luminous signposts placed in the ground as in airport runways, indicate the pathways and encircle some of the instruments.
Light beams trace out the orienteering and the dimensions of the site.
On some instruments, light played with variable intensity creates different rhythms in counterpoint of the musical score.
promoting event for a responsible / sustainable tourism
The ticket sales profit will contribute to the preservation of the scientific monument Jantar Mantar and will be also attributed to the education of underprivileged children of Jaipur.
